The Big Day: Big Sister's Wedding!

We had a pretty busy summer. In addition to moving from Halifax to Calgary, we then drove to Saskatoon for my sister's wedding. Susan and James (coincidentally, Jamie's new uncle is also named James) got married on a very hot day in August. The wedding was really lovely and both Susan and James looked extremely happy.


The wedding and reception were in the same hall--in two parts--so this is everyone standing around before the wedding with the table in the foreground. The wedding was a summer-themed wedding so the flowers were bright yellow sunflowers and daisies. They were very pretty and summery.

The happy couple as the officiant signed the certificate--as she pointed out, this was their last chance to back out. Neither seemed to want to do that!

James got tuckered out. It was a big day for him. We forgot his stroller so we made a nest of extra table clothes on the floor and he slept in a corner for about three hours. He can't sleep through the night at home but he can sleep at a wedding reception with loud music playing--go figure!
