On Canada Day, we were still in Calgary and we went over to Jeff's brother's for a BBQ. James got to spend some quality time with his cousin, Daniel. It was funny to watch the two of them together--they play side-by-side and didn't always get along but they were cute to watch. Here are some photos in no particular order.
Arriving for the party--the doggy scared me and I am not too sure I want to go any further, Daddy!
I found Daniel's lawnmower--my new favourite! (Every time Daniel went near it, James muscled him out of the way and took it back).
I love this lawnmower.
Playing with the phone in Daniel's playhouse--fun!
"Go Away, James!" Daniel got tired of James at one point and tried to lock him in the house. That'll teach James to steal Daniel's lawnmower.
Auntie Joc is blowing bubbles--funny!
These are my new sandals that Auntie Joc and Uncle Craig gave me for my birthday. They light up when I walk and are my new favs.

James Visiting Calgary
Sorry for the delay in blogging. We were in Calgary for two weeks looking for a place to live and visiting with the families. We have been back the last week and a half and packing so we have been pretty busy. We will be sending out change of address emails as soon as we have a phone number to go with the new address. The place we found should be good. It is a 3 bedroom townhouse near Jeff's new job and it should be a nice location. Anyway, here are some photos of James's visit in Calgary.
For his 1 year birthday, James got a wagon from his grandparents. He quickly figured out that he could climb into it and rock back and forth to make it move across the floor. By the time he gets back, he will make it a scooter.
Yeah, scooter.

"Hi Dad! This is a rake--do you know what a rake does?"
"You see, Grandpa, this is a rake--I was telling Dad about it too."
